BruNI Activities

I hope all of you guys have received an e-mail regarding on events and competitions by our Event Co-ordinator, Haji Nuzul Fairuz. Here I posts the copies of the events and the competition as a reminder for all.

BruNI PES ‘08/09 LEAGUE & CUP

GENERAL

PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) is a PS3 console based gaming experience, obviously for indoors sport related event. With the increasing popularity of such a game and its availability, hopefully this event will draw BruNI members’ attention as a way to promote BruNI society and a start of one of a kind event in any society. Depending on the response of members, this event will be held in seasons much to the likes of the EPL (English Premier League) hence portrayed in the event title above. Top eight teams at the end of 2009 season will automatically be drawn in the knock out stages for the prestigious BruNI’s PES CUP. Winners of league will be entitled for League Champions Trophy. Winners and runners up to the cup are entitled for Cup Trophies.

Points calculation methodology will be carried out based on FIFA’s regulation i.e. 3 points for a WIN, 1 point for a DRAW and 0 point for a LOSS. In the CUP event though, NO HOME-AWAY advantage point method will be used therefore will a match go scoreless, a winner will be decided in a good old-fashioned EXTRA-TIME to PENALTY kick off.

To promote equality and diversity of BruNI members, both the event is made open for all. Both genders are allowed to enter the competition without restriction to any play level whatsoever. To enhance excitement two categories are made i.e. OPEN SINGLES (single player competition) and OPEN TEAM (team of 3 players maximum per team competition). Both these categories are entitled for the PES CUP as explained earlier.

REGISTRATION

Events are open to all BruNI members regardless of gender and play level. Registration is based on e-mail system to noose_nuzman@hotmail.com where team names and members are to be sent.

PAYMENT

Payment will be conferred for as soon as possible and be synchronized with BruNI’s treasurers. Payments are inclusive of registration, prize trophies and electricity bills for console owners hence named as Stadium.

1. Registration is open to all BruNI members

2. Registration must be completed and sent by 10th January 2009

3. NO GENDER restriction therefore mixed teams (male and female) are allowed

4. NO SWEARING or IMPROPER MISCONDUCT to opposing teams. Should this happen penalty will be taken

NATIONAL DAY : BruNI LASER QUEST

GENERAL

Laser Quest is a challenging melee type of game where 2 teams compete against each other to “kill” as much enemies as possible. Located in the Battlefield premise (Dundonald’s Ice Bowl), the War is set in an urban maze like environment and is indoors. The weapons used are HALO like guns and only fires very light Laser Beams (safe to eyes although it not recommended aiming at opponent’s eyes) so there are no fuss with getting hurt and washing off those paintballs.

In commemoration of our National’s Day, why not we gather for a one day adrenaline rush to show our patriotism to our beloved Brunei Darussalam. Back in 2008, some of our members participated in a rather epic battle against a bunch of Irish teens, even though they had an advantage of 1 person we won by a good gap and proud of it.

Depending on the number of entries, groupings will be made for us to compete each other or otherwise. This will be sorted out upon the submission of your Entry forms. Briefings will be conducted by Battlefield crews prior to start of battle. Losing team will be “executed”, Winning team walks away with Pride. All in all we will have loads of fun.

REQUIREMENTS

· Event will be held on the 21st February 2009 (any changes will be informed a.s.a.p)

· All entry forms must be submitted by the 31st January 2009 to provide ample time for booking procedures.

· Payments must be made by 2nd February 2009

· On the day of battle it is advised to wear proper light attire (trousers and t-shirts) as we will be putting on Battlefield overalls.

· Do have a bit of workout prior to D-Day as this requires intensive action maneuvers.

SUPPPORT & ENQUIRIES

For further information please contact Event Coordinators via phone, e-mail or in person.

I apologize for the late posts.
