I hope all BruNI Society have received (and read) an e-mail from our Ketua Zone Muneerah regarding selections of BruNI committees. So do your voting now for the best peeps (and actually you can vote for yourself! )

This is the e-mail from Muneerah;

Assalamualaikum and hello to all,

For those of you who are not aware of the existence of Brunei Students society in Belfast, there is one which has existed for approximately 5 years known as BruNI. Brunei student studying in Belfast is automatically a member of BruNI. The society has in fact conducted small activities among the members due to the small number of students studying in Belfast. However, with the increase in numbers of students, BruNI managed to organize an annual bowling event and hopefully, in the future we can organize more major activities.

BruNI has not yet been affiliated with Brunei Students Union. However, it is widely recognized by Brunei Students Unit. In order to do so, we will need a list comprising of BruNI’s committee mainly:

1. President – On hold until October 2008.
2. Secretary – On hold until October 2008
3. Treasurer
4. Welfare officer
5. Event Co-ordinator
6. Assistant Event Co-ordinator
7. Second Year Student Representative
8. Third Year Student Representative

As for now, the Ketua Zones will hold the position as acting President and Acting Secretary. Each member is required to nominate a name for any post listed above. Nominations can be sent to BruNI.society@gmail.com. When nominating please include your name. If you would like to nominate yourself, you may do so as well. Nominations should be sent before the 14^th of March 2008 and the results will be announced the following Monday.
